VS Code Extension

LoreFountain

v1.0.0Released Sep 24, 2026

What you need

  • VS Code 1.125 or newer, or Cursor, Windsurf, or Antigravity (installed from Open VSX)
  • A folder on your own machine. It does not run in browser editors like vscode.dev or github.dev.

Known issues

  • Doesn’t run in browser-based editors (vscode.dev, github.dev). It needs a folder on your machine.

Common questions

The World and Scripts panels are empty.

LoreFountain needs a folder open, not just a single file. Open your project folder, or click "Try LoreFountain (Sample Workspace)" or "Install a Demo World..." right in the panel to see it working first.

Names in my script aren’t being recognized, or hover previews are out of date.

Run "LoreFountain: Rebuild Index" from the Command Palette. The index is a local cache that’s safe to rebuild at any time. Your files are always the source of truth.

I can’t find it in Cursor, Windsurf, or Antigravity.

Those editors search Open VSX instead of the Microsoft Marketplace. LoreFountain is published on both. Search "LoreFountain" in the Extensions view, or install it from the Open VSX link above.

Do I need to buy Pro?

Not right now. Every Pro feature is unlocked for everyone during the launch promotion, with no license key needed. The free core stays free after that.

My project’s helper files look outdated after an update.

Run "LoreFountain: Check for LoreFountain File Updates". It shows each changed or missing file with a diff and asks before touching anything.

Does LoreFountain collect data?

Only if you say yes. Usage telemetry is off by default and you’re asked once. You can turn it off any time with "LoreFountain: Disable Telemetry" or the lorefountain.telemetry.enabled setting.

How do I report a bug?

Use "LoreFountain: Send Feedback" inside the editor, or use the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Desktop App · Windows & Linux

MainFrameWork

v0.4.0Released Sep 3, 2026

What you need

  • Windows (64-bit): .exe or .msi installer
  • Linux (64-bit): .deb, .rpm, or .AppImage
  • Keyboard lighting and the LED Matrix need the Framework Laptop 16 modules. Fan and battery controls need a Framework mainboard.

Known issues

  • Fan, battery, and sensor data on Linux is built but hasn’t been confirmed on real Linux hardware yet. Reports from Linux users are very welcome.
  • Fan, battery, and sensor controls are intentionally unavailable on Windows (see above).
  • MainFrameWork Pro is visible in the app but not switched on yet.

Common questions

I closed the window but it’s still running.

That’s by design. Closing the window keeps the app in your system tray so your keyboard lighting and LED Matrix stay live. Click the tray icon to bring it back, or choose "Quit" from the tray menu to exit.

On Linux, my keyboard or LED Matrix isn’t detected.

Most Linux distributions don’t let apps talk to USB devices directly by default. Install the udev rule that ships with MainFrameWork (steps are in the project README), then unplug and replug the device or reboot.

Why are there no fan or battery controls on Windows?

The only Windows driver that can reach those controls isn’t signed for normal use, and loading it means turning off Secure Boot. MainFrameWork won’t do that to your machine, so on Windows it runs in Portal Mode: keyboard, lighting, and LED Matrix work fully, and system health stays off.

My Numpad or Macropad shows as "Unknown".

Expected for now. Those modules’ hardware IDs haven’t been confirmed yet, so they’re shown without a name.

An expansion card is missing from the Expansion Inspector.

Only cards that report their own identity (HDMI, DisplayPort, Audio) can be detected. USB-A, USB-C, SD, and Ethernet cards are passive and won’t appear.

Does MainFrameWork send anything over the internet?

No. It makes no outbound network calls and has no telemetry and no accounts. The only exception is the website link in the sidebar, which opens in your browser.

Is this made by Framework?

No. MainFrameWork is an independent project from All Stone Tech and isn’t affiliated with Framework Computer Inc. Please bring questions about it here, not to Framework support.

In-Browser Utilities

Free Tools

WebAlways up to date

What you need

  • A current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari

Common questions

Where does my data go?

The Password Generator, Data Transformer, and Prompt Hardening Tool run entirely in your browser. The QR Suite and AI Cost Estimator only send something to our servers if you ask them to email you a result.

My QR code history disappeared.

History is saved in this browser only. It isn’t synced to an account. Clearing site data, using a private window, or switching browsers or devices will start you with an empty history.

A tool is blank or won’t respond.

Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac), then try disabling extensions that block scripts. If it still fails in an up-to-date browser, let us know which tool and browser.

My emailed QR code or cost report never arrived.

Check your spam or promotions folder first. If it isn’t there after a few minutes, contact us with the address you used.

LoreFountain Pro

License help

Pro is currently unlocked for everyone during the launch promotion, so you don't need a key yet. Once keys are required, here's how they work.

Activate a key

Command Palette → "LoreFountain: Enter License Key", then paste the key from your purchase receipt.

Check your license

"LoreFountain: Show License Status" shows your plan and when it was last checked. It never displays the key itself, so it’s safe to screenshot for support.

Remove it from this machine

"LoreFountain: Remove License Key" clears it locally. This does not free up a device slot on its own. Contact us if you need a slot released.

Working offline

A license that has been checked recently keeps working offline for a grace period, and is re-checked automatically the next time you’re online.

Moving to a new computer

Each license covers a set number of devices, depending on your plan. If a new computer is refused because you’ve hit the limit, contact us and we’ll free up a slot from a machine you no longer use.

If activation fails

not-found
We couldn’t match that key to a LoreFountain purchase.
Re-copy it from your receipt, with no extra spaces. Make sure it’s a LoreFountain key and not one for another product.
device-limit-reached
The key is valid, but it’s already active on the maximum number of devices.
Contact us and tell us which old machine to release.
expired
The subscription was cancelled or a renewal payment didn’t go through.
Update your payment method or renew, then run "Enter License Key" again.
refunded
The purchase was refunded or charged back.
If you think that’s a mistake, contact us with your receipt.
disputed
The payment is under an open dispute with your bank.
The license will work again once the dispute is resolved. Contact us if you need help sooner.

Still stuck?

Send us the details and we'll get back to you directly. Including the items on the right usually means we can fix it in one reply.

Helpful to include

  • Which product and version (LoreFountain: see the Extensions view; MainFrameWork: the number in the installer’s file name)
  • Your operating system, and your editor for LoreFountain
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead
  • A screenshot or the exact error text, if there is one
  • Never send your full license key. The "Show License Status" output is enough.
